Daniel Crothers is a justice of the North Dakota Supreme Court. He was appointed to the court in 2005 by Republican Governor John Hoeven. His current term expires in 2022.

Education

Crothers received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Dakota in 1979 and his law degree from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1982. [1]

Career

After graduating from law school, Crothers clerked for the New Mexico Court of Appeals. From 1983-1984, Crothers served as Walsh County North Dakota Assistant State's Attorney and as an Assistant City Attorney for Grafton. Next, he worked in private practice in Santa Fe. After returning to North Dakota, he practiced law in several law firms until being appointed to the North Dakota Supreme Court in June 2005. [2]

Crothers was re-elected with 99.15% of the vote after running unopposed on November 6, 2012. [3]
