Daniel Scott

Daniel E. Scott is a judge on the Southern District of the Missouri Court of Appeals. He was appointed to this position by Governor Blunt on September 14, 2006 and took office on September 28th. His term expires on December 31, 2020.[1].

Biography

Judge Scott was born on September 29, 1955 in Herington, Kansas. He received his B.S. degree from Central Missouri State University in 1977 and his J.D. degree from the University of Missouri in 1980. He is now married and has three children.[1]

Legal career

Judge Scott worked as a private practice lawyer in Joplin form 1980 until his appointment to the Court of Appeals in 2006. During this time, he also worked as an assistant county prosecutor and a special prosecutor beginning in 1982. [1]
