Daniel V. Zemaitis is a judge on Michigan's 17th circuit court. Judge Zemaitis was elected in November 2002 to fill one of the vacant judgeships for Kent County. He commenced his service on the bench on January 1, 2003.
Education
Judge Zemaitis received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in History from Marquette University. He received his Juris Doctor from Case Western University in 1977.Career
Judge Zemaitis has been a sole practitioner for 25 years of practice, Magistrate for the 59th District Court from 1990 to 2002, and in 1995 became Michigan’s first Multi-District Court Magistrate by joining the 62A District Court. During this time, Judge Zemaitis was a Visiting Professor of History/Law at Grace Bible College from 1995 to 1997 and 1999 to 2002.
