Dava J. Tunis is a judge of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court, Criminal Division, in Florida. She was appointed to this court by then-Governor Jeb Bush in 2005. Her current term expires on January 5, 2015, but she may seek re-election in 2014.[1][2][3]

Education

Tunis received her undergraduate degree from Colgate University in 1982 and her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 1985.[4]

Career

Tunis was admitted to the Bar in 1986 and is a former public defender. She was appointed to the Miami-Dade County Court bench in 2000 and was elevated to the Circuit Court in 2005.[1][5]
