Dava J. Tunis is a judge of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court, Criminal Division, in Florida. She was appointed to this court by then-Governor Jeb Bush in 2005. Her current term expires on January 5, 2015, but she may seek re-election in 2014.

Education

Tunis received her undergraduate degree from Colgate University in 1982 and her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 1985.

Career

Tunis was admitted to the Bar in 1986 and is a former public defender. She was appointed to the Miami-Dade County Court bench in 2000 and was elevated to the Circuit Court in 2005.
