David Baker

David L. Baker is the latest addition to the Iowa Supreme Court. He was appointed to the court in 2008, and his term expires on December 31, 2010.[1]
Biography
Justice Baker is a graduate of the University of Iowa, where he received his bachelor's degree in 1975 and law degree in 1979. He is now married and has two children.[1]
Legal career
Justice Baker worked in Cedar Rapids in the private practice of law for 25 years, until he was appointed as a district court judge for the Sixth Judicial District in 2005. Justice Baker was appointed to the Court of Appeals in 2006 where he served until his appointment to the supreme court.[1][2]
