David Bury is a federal judge serving on senior status for the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. He joined the court in 2002 after being nominated by President George W. Bush. At the time of appointment, he was a private practice attorney in Arizona. [1] On December, 31 2012 David Bury assumed senior status for the United States District Court for the District of Arizona after serving on the court for 11 years.[2]
Early life and education
A native of Oklahoma, Bury graduated from Oklahoma State University with his Bachelor's Degree in 1964 and later graduated from the University of Arizona College of Law with his Juris Doctorate Degree in 1967.[1]
Professional career
Bury spent his entire pre-judicial legal career as a Private practice attorney licensed in the State of Arizona from 1967 to 2002.[1]

On the unanimous recommendation of Arizona U.S. Senators Jon Kyl and John McCain, Bury was nominated by President George W. Bush on September 10, 2001 to a new seat created by 114 Stat. 2762 which was approved by Congress. Bury was confirmed by the Senate on March 15, 2002 on a unopposed 90-0-10 vote and received commission on March 19, 2002.[3][1] On December, 31 2012 David Bury assumed senior status for the United States District Court for the District of Arizona after serving on the court for 11 years.[4]
