David J. King is a judge for the First Judicial District of the District Courts in Kansas. He was appointed as District Judge in 1986. [1]

King was retained with 62.5% of the vote in 2010.[2][3]

Judge King is a graduate of the University of Kansas and the University of Kansas School of Law.[1]

Career

King has been an Assigned Judge on six Kansas Court of Appeals dockets and one Kansas Supreme Court docket. He was also engaged in the private practice of law for 5 years and served as Assistant Leavenworth County Attorney before his appointment to the bench in 1986.[1]
