David Ishee is currently a judge on the Mississippi Court of Appeals (District 5, Position 2). He was appointed to this position by Governor Barbour on September 3, 2004, effective immediately.[1][2]
Biography
Judge Ishee was born in 1963 in Gulfport, Mississippi. He received his B.S. degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and his J.D. degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law after a short stint at the University of London. He is now married and has one daughter.[1]
Legal career
Judge Ishee joined the law practice of Elmo Lang, and formed Lang & Ishee, where he worked for 13 years. He was appointed Municipal Court Judge for the city of Pascagoula in 1992. In October of 1999, he was appointed a Pro Tem Municipal Court Judge for the City of Gulfport. He then joined the law firm Franke, Rainey & Salloum, PLLC in 2002. In April of 2004, he was appointed Senior Municipal Court Judge for the City of Gulfport, a position he held until his appointment to the Court of Appeals.[1]
