DeKalb County is in the 9th Circuit of Alabama, along with Cherokee County.[1]
The people of DeKalb County are served by a Circuit Court, District Court, Probate Court and twelve Municipal Courts.
The United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama has jurisdiction in DeKalb County. Appeals from the Northern District go to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
