Young ran for an open seat on the Butler County Magisterial District. She was defeated by Lewis E. Stoughton in both parties primaries on May 17. She received 34.4% in the Democratic primary and 31.8% of the vote in the Republican primary.[1] All candidates have cross-filed with the Republican and Democratic parties.[2] [3]
