Deborah J. Grohs is a judge on the 4th District Court, Division 18, in Colorado. She was appointed to this position on September 28, 2007.[1] She was retained in 2010 to a six year term that ends on December 31, 2016.[2][3]
Education
Grohs received her Bachelor of Science from Western Michigan University in 1982 and her Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1985. [1]
Career
Grohs has worked as a public defender for the counties of Douglas, Lincoln and Elbert, a supervisor at the Colorado Springs Public Defender's Office and a public defender in Chicago, IL. Prior to her judicial appointment in 2007, she worked as a private practice lawyer, specializing in criminal defense, and a mediator for the Office of Dispute Resolution.[1]
