Delissa Ridgway is a Article III federal judge for the United States Court of International Trade. She joined the court in 1998 after being nominated by President Bill Clinton. [1]

Early life and education

Ridgway graduated from Missouri with her Bachelor's degree in 1975 and later graduated from Northeastern Law with her J.D. degree in 1979[1].

Professional career

Ridgway began her legal career as a law clerk for Federal judge June L. Green in theDistrict of Columbia in 1979 before becoming a private practice attorney in Washington, DC from 1979 to 1994 and also was nominated by President Clinton as Madam Chairperson of the U.S. Foreign Claims Settlement Commission from 1994 to 1998 and also served as a adjunct professor at American University's Washington College of Law from 1992 to 1994.[1]

Ridgway was nominated by President Bill Clinton on January 27, 1998 to a seat vacated by Nicholas Tsoucalas as Tsoucalas assumed senior status[1]. Ridgway was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on March 11, 1998 on a majority voice vote and received commission on March 17, 1998[2].
