Dennis B. Leiber is a judge for the 17th Circuit Court (Civil/Criminal Division) in Kent County, Michigan. He has served in this position since January 1, 1989, following his election in 1988.[1][2] He was re-elected to consecutive terms in 1994, 2000 and 2006 and his current 6 year term ends on January 1, 2013.[3]

Education
Leiber graduated from Aquinas College in 1969, with a double major in Political Science and History, before receiving his J.D. degree from Wayne State University Law School in 1972.[2]
Legal career
Leiber began his career in 1973 as an Assistant City Attorney for Grand Rapids, MI. He then worked as a sole practitioner from 1975 to 1977 and as an Assistant Kent County Prosecutor from 1977 to 1988. He then joined the Circuit Court bench in 1989.[2]
