Diane M. Johnsen is a judge on the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One. She was appointed in 2006 by Democratic then-Governor Janet Napolitano.

Johnsen was retained on the court in 2008. Her current six-year term ends in 2014.

Biography

Johnsen graduated from the University of Arizona in 1975. She received her JD degree from Stanford University in 1982. [1]

Legal career

Judge Johnson was in private practice with the firm Munger Tolles & Olson in Los Angeles from 1983-1985 doing general commercial litigation. From 1985-2006, she was in private practice with Osborn Maledon in Phoenix, Arizona. [1]

2008 retention vote

Johnsen was subject to a retention vote in 2008.

  • 74.74% voted in favor of retention.
  • 25.26% voted against retention. [2] [3]
