Donald C. Hudson is a justice on the Illinois Second District Appellate Court. He was assigned to this position in January of 2009. Although he is serving as an Appellate Justice and is free from his former Circuit Court duties, he must be retained every 6 years to the Circuit Court. He was retained in 2012 for a term that expires in 2018.[1][2]
Education
Judge Hudson graduated from DePaul University for his bachelor's degree and the John Marshall Law School for his Juris Doctor degree.
Legal career
Judge Hudson began his judicial career in 1993, when he was appointed an associate judge. In 2000, he was elected circuit judge for the 16th Judicial Circuit Court. He served as the Chief Judge of this court from December of 2004 until his assignment to the Appellate Court in 2008.
2012 election
Hudson was retained to the Circuit Court on Nov. 6, 2012 with 79.5% of the vote.[2][3]
