Douglas Staskal is a judge of District 5C of Iowa. He was appointed to this position in February of 2001.[1]

Biography and Education

Staskal received his bachelor's and law degrees from the University of Iowa in 1976 and 1979, respectively. He is now married and has two children.[1]

Legal career

Staskal began his career as an Assistant Attorney General and an Assistant State Appellate Defender. He also worked as a private practice lawyer for 10 years before he joined District Five as a District Associate Judge in January of 1996. He was promoted to District Judge in February of 2001.[1]
