Edward G. Bryant is a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee. He was appointed to this position on December 15, 2008.[1]
Education
Judge Bryant earned his undergraduate and his law degree from the University of Mississippi.[2]
Career
Judge Bryant joined the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps after law school. After serving as a Captain with the Army, he became a U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee in 1991. In 1993, he joined the law firm of Waldrop and Hall, P.A., where he later became a partner. He served as a U.S. Congressman for the 7th District from 1995 to 2003 and then returned to Waldrop and Hall until his judicial appointment in 2008.[2][3]
