Eileen A. Gallagher is a judge on the Ohio Eighth District Court of Appeals, effective February 9, 2011. She was elected in 2010 and her term ends in 2017.
Education
Gallagher received her B.A. from Ohio Dominican College in 1977 and her J.D. from Cleveland Marshall College of Law in 1987. [1]
Career
Prior to earning her law degree, Gallagher served as a Probation Officer for the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, beginning in 1979. In 1987, she became a solo practitioner. She joined the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas in 1997 and served in that position until 2010. [1]
2010 election
Gallagher ran for a seat on the Ohio Eighth District Court of Appeals. She defeated Republican Elizabeth Harvey in the general election, receiving 70.4% of the vote. [2]
