Elana Cunningham Wills is the newest member of the Arkansas Supreme Court. She was appointed to the court (Position 3) in October of 2008. Her current term ends on December 31, 2010. [1] Willis is not eligible to run for election to the seat she was appointed to, but she has indicated that she may run for Annabelle Clinton Imber's seat against Tim Fox in 2010.[2]

Education

Justice Wills received her B.S. degree in Finance from Arkansas State University (1984) and her Juris Doctor, with honors from the University of Arkansas (1987).[3]

Legal career

Justice Wills began her career as an Associate Attorney with the Rose Law Firm (1987-88). She then worked as an Assistant Attorney General (1988-93), a Deputy Attorney General (1993-1999), a Senior Assistant Attorney General (1999-2003) and a Deputy Attorney General (2003-2008) before being appointed to the Court.[3]
