Ellen F. Rosenblum is a former judge on the Oregon Court of Appeals. She served on this court from June of 2005 until May of 2011.[1] She was retained by voters in November of 2006 to a 6-year term that ended in January of 2013.[2][3] She retired in May 1, 2011.[4]
Biography
Judge Rosenblum was born in Berkeley, California and grew up in Evanston, Illinois. She received her B.A. degree in Sociology from the University of Oregon in 1971 (after transferring from Scripps College) and her J.D. degree from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1975.[1]
Legal career
Judge Rosenblum began her legal career in 1975 as a private practice lawyer in Eugene, Oregon. She worked in this position until 1980, and then became an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Oregon. After 8 years, she joined the Multnomah County Circuit Court, where she judged until she joined the Court of Appeals in 2005. She has also served in numerous law organizations and associations throughout her career.[1]
