F. Shields McManus is a judge of the 19th Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He was appointed by former Governor Charlie Crist on July 16, 2007, effective Aug. 29. He ran unopposed and was elected in 2010 to a full term that ends on January 2, 2017.[1][2][3][4][5]

Education

McManus received his B.A. (in Government/Sociology) and J.D. degrees from Florida State University.[1]

Career

McManus began his career in 1972 with the law firm of Beasley and Geiger. The following year, he became a partner of Beasley & McManus. He then practiced with: McManus & Kennedy (1975-77); McManus, Stewart & Ferraro (1977-89); Kohl, Bobko, Mackey, McManus, Higgins (1990-93); and Gary, Williams, Parenti, Finney, Lewis, McManus, Watson & Sperando (1993-2007). In 2007, he was appointed to the Circuit Court.[1]

2010 election

McManus ran unopposed and was automatically retained to a new term.[4]
