Fayette County is located within the Twenty Fifth Judicial District. The people of Fayette County are served by a Circuit Court, a General Sessions Court, a Juvenile Court, a Chancery Court and five Municipal Courts.[1]

The United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee has jurisdiction in Fayette County. Appeals from the Western District go to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
