Felicia Toney Williams is a justice on the Louisiana Second Circuit Court of Appeal.

Biography

Judge Williams gratuated magna cum laude from Southern University in 1977, and earned her Juris Doctor cum laude from Southern University School of Law in 1980. She also attended New York University School of Law's Appellate Judge’s Program in 1994.

Legal career

Judge Williams began her career as an attorney in the United States Department of Justice in 1980. She was an attorney with Central Louisiana Legal Services in 1980-1981 before working as a Central Staff Law Clerk for the Louisiana Supreme Court between 1981-1982. Judge Williams was a Partner with Williams & Williams between 1982-1990 and acted during that period also as the Assistant District Attorney for the Madison Parish District Attorney's office. Judge Williams was elected to the Sixth Judicial District Court in 1991, and to the Second Circuit Court of Appeal in 1993. Judge Williams served briefly in 1994 as Associate Justice Pro Tem on the Louisiana Supreme Court.

She is also a member of New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Tallulah, LA.
