North Dakota: On Tuesday, February 22, former North Dakota's workers' compensation director, Sandy Blunt, asked the North Dakota Supreme Court to throw out his felony conviction. Blunt was convicted of misspending aver $26,000 of public funds while serving as director. He was convicted in 2008 and the state Supreme Court upheld his conviction in July of 2010, however, Blunt is now arguing that Burleigh County prosecutor Cynthia Feland didn't turn over documents he needed to defend himself properly and his case should be thrown out because Feland violated lawyer conduct rules.
