G. David Miller is a judge on the 4th District Court, Division 16, in Colorado. He was appointed to this position by Gov. Owens, effective September 1, 2002.[1] He was retained in 2010 to a six year term that ends on December 31, 2016.[2][3]

Education

Miller received his B.A. degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1979. He then served in the U.S Marine Corps. while attending law school at Creighton University. He received his J.D. degree in 1982 and was then commissioned by the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate's Corps.[1]

Legal career

Miller served in the Judge Advocate's Corps as a prosecutor and senior defense counsel until the end of his active duty in 1988. He then worked as a private practice lawyer in Colorado Springs, Colorado for 14 years, specializing in federal civil litigation and health care law. He then joined the District Court in 2002. He continued to serve as a Judge Advocate in the Air Force Reserve until 2003.[1]

2010 election

Miller will stand for retention with 69.18% of the vote in 2010.[3]
