George Theodore Mickelson (1903-1965) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of South Dakota.

Mickelson received a recess appointment from President Dwight Eisenhower on December 9, 1953, to a seat vacated by Alfred Lee Wyman; he was nominated on January 11, 1954, confirmed by the Senate on February 9, 1954, and received his commission on February 10th. He served as chief judge from 1954 until his death on February 28, 1965.[1] Mickelson was succeeded in this position by Fred Nichol.
