George Thomas McDermott

George Thomas McDermott (1886-1937) was a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the United States District Court for the District of Kansas.

Tenth Circuit

McDermontt was nominated by President Herbert Hoover on April 18, 1929 to a new seat created by 45 Stat. 1346. He was confirmed by the Senate on April 29th, and received commission the next day. He served until his death on January 19, 1937.

District of Kansas

McDermontt was nominated by President Calvin Coolidge on January 12, 1928 to a new seat created by 40 Stat. 1156. He was confirmed by the Senate on January 16th, and received commission that same day. He served on this court until April 30, 1929, when he moved to the Tenth Circuit.
