George E. Woods (1923-2007) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Woods was nominated by President Ronald Reagan on November 1, 1983, to a seat vacated by Patricia Boyle; he was confirmed by the Senate on November 15, 1983, and received commission the next day. He assumed senior status on November 16, 1993, and served in that capacity until his death on August 13, 2004. [1] Woods was succeeded in this position by Denise Hood.
