Judicial career
District of Connecticut
Daly was nominated by President Jimmy Carter on June 29, 1977, to a seat vacated by Robert Zampano; he was confirmed by the Senate on August 5, 1977, and received commission that same day. From 1983-1988, he served as the chief judge. He served the District of Connecticut until his death on July 11, 1996. [1] Daly was succeeded in this position by Janet Hall.
