H. Bruce Williams

H. Bruce Williams is a judge on the South Carolina Court of Appeals. He was elected to this position by the General Assembly in May of 2004.[1] He will be up for re-election in 2010, at the end of his 6-year term.
Biography
Judge Williams was born on March 13, 1956 in Columbia, South Carolina. He received his bachelor's degree from Wofford College in 1978 and his law degree from the University of South Carolina Law School in 1982. He is now married and has two children.[1]
Legal career
Judge Williams began his legal career as a private practice lawyer. From 1992 to 1995, he also worked part-time as an Associate Town Judge for the Town of Irmo. In May of 1995, he was elected by the General Assembly to the Family Court of the 5th Judicial Circuit. He held this position until May of 2004, when he was elected to the South Carolina Court of Appeals.[1]
