Georgia: Current Winterville Municipal Court judge H. Patrick Haggard will fill the vacancy on the Tenth Superior Court District of Georgia, Governor Nathan Deal announced yesterday. Haggard was one of three nominees forwarded to the governor from the Judicial Nominating Commission. He will succeed Steve C. Jones on the court. [1]

Haggard will be sworn-in soon, and will serve until 2012, when he must run for election to the seat if he hopes to keep it. [2]
