Harold Burke

Harold Burke (1895-1981) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Western District of New York.
He was nominated by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt on April 27, 1937 to replace Harlan Watson Rippey. He was confirmed by the Senate on June 15th, and received commission on June 18th. From 1955 to 1967, he was the chief judge. On June 15, 1981, he assumed senior status, serving in this capacity until his death on July 17, 1981.
