Harris Adams is a judge on the Georgia Court of Appeals. He was appointed to this position by Governor Barnes on December 30, 2002.[1]

Biography

Harris Adams grew up in Toombs County, Georgia. He graduated from Mercer University in 1970 and went on to receive his law degree from Mercer's Walter F. George School of Law in 1971. He is currently married and has three children.[1]

Legal career

Harris Adams began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Cobb Circuit. In 1973, he entered private practice with the law firm Sams, Glover, Gentry and Adams. He was the Chief Judge of the Municipal Court of Marietta from 1980 to 1983. On January 4, 1985, he was appointed to the State Court of Cobb County. He served as the Chief Judge on this court for six years before becoming an Appellate Judge.[1]
