Henry Autrey

Henry Edward Autrey is an Article III federal judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. He joined the court in 2002 after being nominated by President George W. Bush.
Education
Henry Autrey graduated from St. Louis University with his Bachelor's degree in 1974 and with his Juris Doctorate in 1977. [1]
Legal career
Autrey started his legal career in 1977 as a prosecuting attorney in the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office. Shortly after, he became an Assistant Circuit Attorney. He served in this position until 1984, when he became a First Assistant Circuit Attorney. Autrey began his judicial career in 1986 as an Associate Circuit Judge in the Twenty-second Judicial Circuit Court in St. Louis. He became a Lead Circuit Judge in 1997, and served in that position until his nomination to the Federal bench in 2002. [1]
Federal judicial career
On the unanimous recommendation of U.S. Senators James Talent and Christopher Bond, Autrey was nominated by President George W. Bush on March 21, 2002 to a seat vacated by George Gunn as Gunn went on senior status. Autrey was confirmed by the Senate on August 1, 2002, and received commission on August 2, 2002. [1]
