Herbert L. Stern, III is a judge for the Colorado Second Judicial District Court. He was appointed to this position in June of 1990.[1] He was retained in 2010 to a six year term that ends in January of 2017.[2][3]

Education

Stern received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley and his law degree from the University of Denver Law School.[1]

Legal career

Stern worked as an attorney for over a decade prior to his judicial appointment in 1990. He worked as both a public defender and private practice lawyer.[1]

Stern was retained in 2010 with 69.11% of the vote. [3][4]
