Herbert Theodore Milburn (1931-present) is a federal judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He is serving on senior status.
Sixth Circuit
Milburn was nominated to the Sixth Circuit by President Ronald Reagan on September 6, 1984, to a new seat created by 98 Stat. 333; he was confirmed by the Senate on October 3, 1984, and received commission the next day. He assumed senior status on July 1, 1996.
Eastern District of Tennessee
Milburn was nominated to the Eastern District of Tennessee by President Ronald Reagan on April 14, 1983, to a seat vacated by Charles Neese; he was confirmed by the Senate on June 6, 1983, and received commission the next day. From 1984-1984, he served as the chief judge. He served the Eastern District of Tennessee until he was elevated to the Sixth Circuit on October 9, 1984.
