Houston Lanier Brown is a civil division judge of Circuit 10 in Jefferson County, Alabama.[1] He has served in this position since April of 2000 and his current term expires in 2018.[2]

Education

Judge Brown received his B.A. degree from Talladega College and his J.D. degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.[2]

Career

Judge Brown was admitted to the practice of law on April 23, 1973.[3] He joined the Circuit Court in 2000.[2]

2012 election

Brown was to compete against Chuck Hunter in the general election on November 6, but Hunter was removed from the ballot. Brown was re-elected after running unopposed in the general election on November 6, 2012.[4][5][6]
