Ignazio Ruvolo

Ignazio ("Nace") John Ruvolo is the presiding justice on the First District, Division Four of the California Courts of Appeal. He was appointed by Republican Governor Schwarzenegger and received his confirmation on January 6, 2006.
Biography
Ruvolo earned his A.B. from Rutgers College in 1969 and his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1972. [1]
Legal career
From 1972-1977, Ruvolo was a Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. From 1977-1994, he worked with the firm Bronson Bronson & McKinnon in San Francisco and Walnut Creek.
Justice Ruvolo's previous judicial experience includes an appointment to the Contra Costa Superior Court by Governor Wilson on January 6, 1994, and an election to full term on the court in June 1994. He was next appointed to the First District, Division Two by Governor Pete Wilson in December 1996, where he served until his current appointment as presiding justice to the First District Court of Appeal, Division Four.
