Illinois Civil Justice League

The Illinois Civil Justice League was founded in 1992 to promote fairness in the civil justice system of the state of Illinois.
Mission
According to its website, the ICJL's mission is:
"The Illinois Civil Justice League is a coalition of Illinois citizens, small and large businesses, associations, professional societies, not-for-profit organizations and local governments that have joined together to work for fairness in the Illinois civil justice system."[1]

According to the ICJL website: The Illinois Civil Justice League maintains a strong presence in Springfield, lobbying on civil justice issues. Under the Democrat-controlled General Assembly, the ICJL has thwarted several priorities of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, including the defeat of the SB 1296 and the re-enactment of the Structural Work Act.
