The Illinois Second District Appellate Court encompasses the northern counties in the state, including some of the more populated areas in the state.

Second District Territory

The Second District Appellate Court includes the following counties: Jo Daviess, Stephenson, Winnebago, Boone, McHenry, Lake, Carroll, Ogle, Lee, DeKalb, Kane, Kendall and DuPage.

Judges

Like every appellate district, the judges elected to the Second District serve 10 year terms "for a term commencing on the first Monday in December following his [or her] election."[1]
