Indiana Judicial Nominating Commission

The Indiana Judicial Nominating Commission is an organization that selects candidates to fill vacancies in the Indiana Supreme Court, Court of Appeals and the Tax Court.[1]
Organization
The Commission is made up of seven members: one state supreme court justice, three lawyers, and three members of the public. The justice is selected by the Chief Judge, the three lawyers are selected by other lawyers, and the members of the public are appointed by the Governor.[2]
The members of the Judicial Nominating Commission also make up the members of the Indiana Commission on Judicial Qualifications.[1]
