John "Jack" Helinger is a judge of the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He was appointed to this position by Gov. Charlie Crist on December 5, 2008. He replaced Judge Nelly Khouzam. His current term expires on January 2, 2017, but he eligible to run for re-election on November 8, 2016.[1][2][3][4]

Biography and Education

Helinger received his undergraduate degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) and his law degree from the Stetson University College of Law.

He is married to fellow circuit judge Chris Helinger.[1]


Helinger worked as a lawyer prior to his appointment to the circuit court in 2006. He is also a former prosecutor of the State Attorney's Office.[1]
