James C. Connell (1897-1973) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

Connell was nominated by President Dwight Eisenhower on June 24, 1954, to a new seat created by 68 Stat. 8; he was confirmed by the Senate on August 10, 1954, and received his commission on August 11th. He served as chief judge from 1960-1967. He assumed senior status on September 21, 1971, and served in that capacity until his death on October 30, 1973.[1]
