James Dandridge Halyburton (1803-1879) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

He was nominated by President John Tyler on June 15, 1844. He was confirmed by the Senate on June 15, 1844, and received commission that same day. He resigned on April 24, 1861.
