James E. Duffy, Jr. is an associate justice of the Hawai`i Supreme Court. He was sworn in on June 27, 2003 and was appointed by Governor Linda Lingle, a Republican. He is one of five justices serving on the Supreme Court.[1]

Biography

Justice Duffy is a graduate of the College of St. Thomas and Marquette University Law School. [1]

Legal career

Justice Duffy was a founding member of the firm of Fujiyama, Duffy & Fujiyama, where he worked until joining the Supreme Court. He has also worked as a mediator, arbitrator, and special master.[1]
