James P. Arguelles is a judge on the Superior Court of Sacramento County in California. He was appointed in October 2010 by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to succeed Thomas M. Cecil.

2012 election

Arguelles ran for re-election to the Superior Court in 2012. As an unopposed incumbent, his name did not appear on the ballot. After the primary election, Arguelles was automatically re-elected.
