James S. Beasley, Esq. is one of seven members of the Nevada Commission on Judicial Discipline, an organization that is charged in hearing complaints and administering discipline in the Nevada Judicial System.

Background

James S. Beasley is a partner with Jon Ludwig in the Law Offices of Beasley & Ludwig in Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada. A general civil trial and appellate attorney, Mr. Beasley’s practice concentrates on business, construction and insurance defense litigation matters and related appellate work. [1]

Judicial Discipline Commission

Commissioner Beasley was appointed on December 3, 1999 to fill the remaining term of Valerie P. Cooke who was selected as the United States Magistrate Judge for the District of Nevada. He was reappointed by the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Nevada for a second term and then a third term which expires in January 2009. [1].

A member of the Nevada Bar for over 30 years, Mr. Beasley previously served on the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Nevada from 1992-1999 and remains active in bar matters in Washoe County (Reno).

Personal

Beasley is a graduate of the University of San Francisco where he received his B.A. in 1966 and J.D. degree in 1972. He also holds an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley which was awarded in 1968.
