Janice B. Davidson is the Chief Justice of the Colorado Court of Appeals.

Biography

Justice Davidson received her undergraduate degree in government from Skidmore College in 1966. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law in 1969.

Legal career

Justice Davidson was admitted to the New York Bar in 1970 and to the Colorado Bar in 1971. Her career began with the New York Legal Aid Society, Appellate Section, from 1969-1971. She worked as a Colorado State Public Defender in the Denver Office from 1971-1973, and briefly for the Denver Litigation Center, EEOC, (1973-1974) before joining the Office of the Attorney General, State of Colorado where she worked from 1975-1984. She became a judge for the Denver County Court (1985-1988) before her appointment to the Colorado Court of Appeals on July 15, 1988.[1]
