Jerome C. Gorski is a judge on the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Fourth Department. Governor Pataki appointed him to this position on August 14, 2001.[1]

Biography

Judge Gorski received his law degree from Georgetown University in 1962.[1]

Legal career

Judge Gorski began his legal career in 1962 as a private practice lawyer in Buffalo, working on negligence, products liability litigation, and labor relations cases. He remained in the private practice for 25 years. From 1973 to 1980, he also worked as a law clerk for James Kane of the Erie County and State Supreme Courts and for John J. Sirica of the U.S. District Court. In 1989, he was elected to the Supreme Court of the State of New York, where he now serves on the Appellate Division.[1][2]
