Jill N. Parrish is an associate justice of the Utah Supreme Court. She was appointed to this position by Republican Governor Michael O. Leavitt in January of 2003 and her current term ends in 2016[1].

Legal education

Justice Parrish graduated from Yale Law School in 1985.

Legal experience

Upon graduation from law school, Justice Jill Parrish clerked for David Winder of the United States District Court for the District of Utah, worked in private practice, and in 1995, she was an Assistant United States Attorney. After serving in this position, Justice Parrish was appointed to the Supreme Court.

Awards and associations

Justice Jill Parrish has been chairman of the Supreme Court Committee on Civility and Professionalism and the State Law Library Oversight Committee, is a past president of the Federal Bar Association, Utah Chapter, and is a member of the Court Technology Committee and the Judicial Performance Evaluation Committee.
